Inaugural Amelia-Gainesville Challenge Cup

The Inaugural Amelia-Gainesville Challenge Cup is a club against club match on August 18th at Amelia Island Boules at their Central Park terrain and then coming to Gainesville on September 14th at our San Felasco City Park terrain. The format will feature 5 teams, playing as doubles from each club, playing 5 games on each of the match days. Points are award for a win (One for a victory, zero for a loss) with point deferential recorded to decide the tiebreaker should we need it at the end of the Challenge.

Teams do not have to contain the same partners for the entire Challenge or even within one of match days. As we want this to be an inclusive event, any or all of the 5 teams may substitute in one player during the course of the match day.

There is a 5 dollar buy-in for each of the participants, with some sort of prize going to the winning club. We haven't decided the actual prize yet, but it should be thought of as a prize for the entire club. Suggestions are welcome.

Greg Johnson (GP) and Doug Boes(AIBC) want this to be a fun tournament for all. Come out to to either or both match days and see who brings home the Cup.
